Due to heavy rainfall in Szczecin, several bus lines run with problems on Thursday evening. Four vehicles serving line 87 were stuck in the area of Duńska and Rostocka streets, on ul. In total, bus 68 stopped across the road.
Precipitation snow in Szczecin and the region caused traffic disruptions. Some city buses are delayed. Several vehicles got stuck under the hills. – The biggest problems are on line 87. Four cars are stuck on Szczecińska Street, Rostocka Street and Duńska Street – informed the dispatcher of the Road and Municipal Transport Authority. – Bus line 68 stopped sideways on Łączna Street, bus 58 has a problem on Strzałowska Street – he added.
The dispatcher assured that immobilized vehicles should quickly return to the routes because “plows and sand plows are dispatched to all reports.” Szczecin ZDiTM has 37 snow removal vehicles at its disposal.
According to the officer on duty at the GDDKiA road information point, 60 plows and gritters are working on national roads in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. All routes are passable.
– Traffic is slowed down, drivers must get used to driving in slush, we have not recorded any accidents – said the GDDKiA officer on duty. – In several places, including near Krajnik, trucks had problems with the driveway, so we sent the equipment there – he added.
IMWM warns
According to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, snowfall in the province. West Pomeranian Voivodeship may last until Friday at 10 a.m. In several poviats (Kołobrzeg, Łobez, Gryfice, Choszczno) 15 centimeters may fall, locally up to 20 cm of snow.
