Hackers They break into Facebook databases, streaming websites or banks, stealing logins, passwords, and sometimes even card numbers. On this page you will check if your data is secure.
The easiest way to check the leakage
If you want to quickly check if your data has leaked, Go to haveibeenpwned.com. This is a page that Troy Hunt, a cyber security expert, created in 2013. Initially, it was supposed to be a small project, and today it uses over it 300 thousands of people a day. The database already contains over 12 billion hacked accounts.
You don't even have to register on the website. You just enter your email and click Enter. In a moment you will see a list of websites from which your data has leaked. The site will also show you what exactly the information has been stolen – Sometimes the same password, and sometimes also a phone number or date of birth.
The creators of this site promise full safety when using it. When you check the password, the page sees only his tiny fragment, so encrypted that nothing can be read from it.
Polish way to check the leakage
From May 2023 we also have a Polish alternative – safedane.gov.pl. Here you have to log in through a trusted profile, but we get more information. The site will not only show data leaks, but also warn if someone tried to take a loan or register a company for our data.
Your data has leaked – and what now?

- Change the password where the leak came from
- Do you use the same password on Facebook and in the bank? A fatal idea. Change them wherever it repeats
