In mid -March, a legal committee European Parliament – juri, recommended the revocation of the immunity of both politicians Law and Justice. Earlier, at the end of July 2024, the applications on immunity were sent to the EP by the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar.
The prosecutor's office accuses Wąsik and Kamiński that they did not comply with a final judgment of the court to ban public functions. According to investigators, politicians illegally voted at the sitting of the Sejm, after they were legally convicted of actions taken in connection with the so -called land scandal.
This is the aftermath of the legal saga lasting since 2015. Wąsik and Kamiński emphasize that they were pardoned by the president.
