IMWM issued first degree meteorological alerts. At night, strong gusts of wind and thick fog will pose a threat. Check where the weather will be dangerous.
Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first-level warnings on a three-level, ascending scale.
IMWM warnings – strong wind
Yellow alerts for strong winds apply in the following voivodeships:
- West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin the following counties: Koszalin, Sławno, Kołobrzeg, Gryfice;
- Pomeranianin the following counties: Słupsk, Lębork, Wejherowo, Puck.
Strong winds with an average speed of up to 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 85 km/h are expected to occur there, from the south-west and west.
The alerts will expire at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
IMWM warnings – dense fog
Level 1 warnings for dense fog have been issued in the province Opole province.
Dense fog is forecast in places, with visibility limited to approximately 100 meters. Temperatures may drop to around -3 degrees Celsius and fogs may deposit rime. The roads, especially bridges and viaducts, will be slippery.
The warnings will expire on Tuesday at 8.

What are IMWM first degree warnings?
The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by road traffic, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
