Replacing the voices of Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki and incorrect assignment of 160 votes of the KO candidate for the PiS candidate. On Wednesday, Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar announced these irregularities that took place in two committees. The errors were revealed by the District Court in Bielsko-Biała, the prosecutor's office deals with the case.

Minister of Justice, Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar On Wednesday, he informed on platform X that the District Court in Bielsko-Biała “revealed irregularities after examining the voting cards from two regional election committees. This raises serious doubts as to the reliability of the work of these committees. It also indicates the possibility of committing a crime.”

The only such meeting in Poland

As the Prosecutor General said, “in the first case there were votes cast for individual candidates. In the second case, 160 votes cast for Rafał Trzaskowski were incorrectly demonstrated in the election report as votes cast by Karol Nawrocki.”

“The meeting of the court in Bielsko -Biała was so far the only one in Poland in which the prosecutor participated. In other cases, the courts did not inform the Prosecutor General about the dates of the activities” – we read in the communiqué.

“Therefore, I asked the Supreme Court to provide information on the results of the inspection in other election committees,” added Adam Bodnar.

They counted the voices again

A spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General, prosecutor Anna Adamiak, clarified in a statement that the court meeting “regarding the execution of the Supreme Court's appeal and conducting an inspection of voting cards from two peripheral election committees” took place on Tuesday, June 17. A prosecutor from the District Prosecutor's Office in Bielsko-Biała took part in it.

Prosecutor Adamiak emphasized that “the purpose of the meeting was to determine the number of valid votes for individual candidates in the election for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland, which took place on June 1, 2025.”

The announcement indicates that the proceedings regarding the diagnosis of electoral protests are of a passive nature, “which means that the Prosecutor General, being a participant in this proceeding, can take part in the meeting if he is notified of his date and admitted to participation by the court.”

“Of the matters in which the Supreme Court managed the appeals for court assistance consisting in conducting an inspection of voting cards, so far only the District Court in Bielsko -Biała informed the Prosecutor General about the date of the meeting in this regard,” said spokeswoman Adam Bodnar.

The statement shows that the inspection consisted of recalculating the voting cards twice from the indicated committees. It was in this way that it was established that in one of the peripheral committees there were votes cast for candidates, “which resulted in the erroneous acceptance that Karol Nawrocki obtained a larger number of votes in this circuit, while they were actually cast to Rafał Trzaskowski.”

“In the case of the second committee, it was revealed that 160 votes cast for the candidate Rafał Trzaskowski, among the total number of 959 all votes cast, were placed in a closed and sealed package with votes assigned to the candidate Karol Nawrocki, and then mistakenly demonstrated in the election report as votes cast for him,” the prosecutor Adamiak informed.

The prosecutor's office about “the possibility of committing a crime”

As the spokeswoman emphasized, “The irregularities revealed by the District Court in Bielsko-Biała raise serious doubts as to the reliability of the work of the indicated election committees, and also indicate the possibility of committing a crime”. “Materials in this respect will be forwarded to the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Katowice in order to designate the prosecutor's office competent and matter -of -factly to conduct the checking proceedings,” said Anna Adamiak.

“In relation to other protests in which the Supreme Court ordered the inspection of voting cards, and the Prosecutor General was not notified by the courts about the dates of meetings in this subject, the Supreme Court was asked to provide information about the outcome of these inspections” – concluded the spokeswoman of the Prosecutor General.
