The verdict regarding the act committed by Ryszard Kalisz's wife was passed in 2022. The woman was initially sentenced to one year and eight months of community service, banned from driving for six years and ordered to pay PLN 15,000. PLN for the fund for assistance to victims and post-penitentiary assistance. Both the prosecutor's office and the woman's defense attorney appealed against the verdict. In 2023 The District Court agreed with the defense arguments and commuted the sentence. The sentence was changed to six months of restriction of liberty with the obligation to perform unpaid work for social purposes.
