Even one hundred thousand euros will be able to receive people who decide to buy and renovate a house in one of 33 Italian towns. This is an offer of the authorities of the Trento province, which is to prevent the depopulation of villages and towns.
The authorities of Italian regions are fighting as they can depopulate the town. We have long heard about houses' offers that can be bought for 1 euros. This time the authorities of the Autonomous Province of Trent in the north Italian They offer up to 100,000 euro (approx. PLN 420,000) to those who buy and renovate the house in one of 33 depopulating surroundings. They hope that the experiment will help bring new residents to the empty settlements.

Trent wants to attract residents
You can receive a subsidy of up to 20,000 for the purchase of real estate. euro, and for renovation up to 80 thousand euro, when its total cost is 200,000 euro. The condition for receiving funding is residing in the purchased and renovated property, or its allocation for rent – and it must last at least ten years. You also need to change the registered address to a new home.
The province authorities explained that the project for which a total of 10 million euros was allocated to stop the depopulation of peripheral cities, which in the last decade have lost almost all residents. On the list of 33 towns there are no tourist ones visited by crowds of tourists. There were, among others Altavalle, Bleggio Superiore, Bondone, Borgo Chiese, Bresimo, Canal San Bovo, Castel Condino, Castello Tesino, Cinte Tesino, Cis, Dambel, Mezzano, Novella, Ospedaletto or Palu Del Fersina.
– We want those who come to become an active part of the community (…). We are not interested in the level of income, but we expect a specific involvement to make these places flourish again – told the journal Corriere della Sera “I like Olivo, a representative of the province's authorities. “Even five families can change anything,” she added. As she explained, it is about restoring life in the villages and sediments, which are threatened with complete disappearance.
