The Polish national team had a very unsuccessful November training camp. First, they suffered a painful 1-5 defeat against Portugal, and then lost 1-2 against Scotland after the decisive goal in added time. This defeat turned out to be disastrous, because the Poles were ultimately relegated to the B division of the Nations League.
Kałużny said what should be done with Touchstone. It couldn't be clearer
Therefore, for the Polish national team and Michał Probierz a wave of criticism fell. Many also demanded the coach's resignation. The trainer himself claimed that he would not resign from his job. According to Meczyki.pl, the PZPN does not intend to make sudden decisions and make changes to the coach's position. Still, a discussion about the future Touchstone is still alive, and now this topic has been raised by Radosław Kałużny.
– Let's calm down. I know that sensations sell well and fans like the Olympics, but another change? Well, no. Touchstone's predecessors didn't work for a year and what, the carousel would start moving again? The players' statements show that they are satisfied with the cooperation with Probierz. There are no leaks that they are not on good terms with the coach. It happened more than once or twice that the media “accidentally” got the information that the team could not imagine cooperation and the coach's head was immediately beheaded. There is no question about it in this case – said the former Polish representative in an interview with ““Sports Review”.
And he added that Polish Football Association he will not do anything against the players. – Sure, he went against the grain many times. The more the media suggests something to him, the more he will fail to meet their expectations. I think so. And he won't touch Touchstone, he concluded. Kałużny, however, believes that the future of Probierz depends on the team's performance in the World Cup qualifiers. – If the White and Reds start poorly, there may be a change and I think the coach is perfectly aware of this – he said.
The next matches of the Polish national team will take place in: March next year. The qualifying rounds for the 2026 World Cup will then begin.
