We have some groups of ammunition, of which we are dissatisfied with the size – admitted in “Facts after Facts” on TVN24 the Chief of General Staff General Wiesław Kukuła. He also noted that “there are many assortments” that allow you to wage a possible war “even for many months”.
General Wiesław Kukuła, the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, was on Wednesday a guest of “Facts after facts” on TVN24. He was asked, among others, about the recent words of the head of the National Security Bureau General Dariusz Łukowski regarding Polish ammunition stocks. Łukowski when asked if it is true that The army has a supply of ammunition on barely five days of the warhe replied that “this is possible in many types of ammunition”, but it cannot be said that “in all types of funds we have the same situation.”
General Kukuła assessed on TVN24 that “this is a simplification”. – He talked about a certain group or assortment of ammunition. And indeed, we have some groups of ammunition, of which we are dissatisfied with the size. There are large deficiencies caused by two factors – he said. – the first factor, it is (the fact that) we just have a lot of this ammunition on Ukraine. And the second that we do not have a sufficient answer from the industry to completing our supplies – he explained.
– But there are also many assortments that will allow us to wage this war, God forbid, even for many months – he noted.
General Kukuła was asked whether the ammunition, which is missing the most, is the one with a 155 mm caliber, which is crucial for artillery. – We can't talk about five days here. But indeed its value is still not satisfactory – he replied.
Kukuła was also asked when there could be a possible war with Russia. – I can refer here to intelligence reports with which we agree. As for the conventional conflict, fully symmetrical, as it goes on in Ukraine today, all tips, all data define this time until 2030 that such a situation can happen – he said. He explained that then “simply the Russian Federation would achieve the potential to wage such a war with NATO.”

Two scenarios that “we consider the most likely”
Kukuła also talked about possible fate wars in Ukraine and a possible breakup of this country with Russia. – There are many scenarios for this. I can say about two that we consider to be the most likely today – he said.
“One is just a suspension of a weapon,” he said. – And the other is that this war will be fought for a long time, will only change its intensity. It will be a medium and low intensity war, which will be a war for the destruction of each party. And it will simply be waiting for the so -called window of possibilities for a possible suspension of weapons or to conclude a room on other conditions – said General Kukuła.
