Kolbiel. Accident at S17. The route is blocked

Two passenger cars collided on an express road number 17 near Kołbiela. One person was hospitalized. The road in the direction of Lublin has been blocked. Drivers are waiting for difficulties.

The collision occurred on Monday around 9 o'clock on the S17 section between Ostrów and Kołbiel nodes. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways states that two passenger cars collided. The road in the direction of Lublin is impassable. Services work on site.

One of the vehicles fell out after a collision from the road on the embankment on the side of the road. The second broken car stands in the middle of two lanes.

– Preliminary information shows that the driver of a Mercedes vehicle did not retain a safe distance between vehicles and hit the back of the Opel vehicle. As a result of the incident, one person was injured and taken to the hospital – informs Marcin Jabłoński from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Otwock.

As he warns, difficulties at the scene of the accident may last until around 12 o'clock. – There are seals for passenger cars to the Jatne – Ostrów junction – he says.
