A woman who was poisoned by carbon monoxide in one of the apartments in Koszalin has died. Despite resuscitation, she could not be saved. Two children who were inside the premises were also taken to hospital.

After 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the fire brigade was called to the apartment at ul. Mickiewicza in Koszalin, where carbon monoxide poisoning occurred. – Despite resuscitation efforts carried out by paramedics and firefighters, the life of the woman who was found in the bathroom could not be saved – said Asp. Dariusz Schacht from the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Szczecin.

There were children in the apartment and they were taken to hospital

There were a total of five people in the apartment – three adults and two children. – Two children were taken to hospital, while the remaining two adults did not require medical assistance – Schacht added.

Two crews took part in the operation at the scene. The circumstances of the poisoning are being investigated.

On Tuesday afternoon, there was also carbon monoxide poisoning in a single-family house in Kutno. Despite the services' actions, two children died there.
