Kristi Noem, the Secretary of National Security of the United States, fell victim to theft in a restaurant in Washington. One of the most important people in Trump's administration, among others, documents and three thousand dollars in cash were stolen.

CNN television was the first to inform about the case on Monday, and the theft was confirmed by Noem. However, she refused to provide details. According to two people familiar with the case during a Sunday dinner at a restaurant in the center of the United States capital, a bag was stolen. Secret Service reached the monitoring recording, which shows the perpetrator – a man in a medical mask covering his face.

The thief came into possession of, among others, a driving license, noem, her medicines, apartment keys, passport, business identifier, beautician, unrealized checks and about three thousand dollars in cash (approx. PLN 11,000). Secret Service is currently investigating to detect any attempts to use stolen funds.

Spokeswoman for the National Security Department USA Tricia McLaughlin confirmed in an interview with NBC News that there was a theft. When asked why Noem had so much cash with her, she replied that in Washington there was the whole family secretary, including her children and grandchildren. – She used the payment from the ATM for dinner with her family, attractions and Easter gifts – explained the spokeswoman.

Security experts pay attention to the serious nature of the incident, emphasizing that enabling a thief so close to contact with a member of an administration may indicate a serious oversight of security services.
