According to investigators, an approximately 40-year-old woman whose body was found at the end of October in one of the tenement houses in Bałuty in Łódź, died at the turn of June and July. Her identity remains unknown, but investigators suspect who she was.
As prosecutor Paweł Jasiak from the District Prosecutor's Office in Łódź said, an autopsy was performed on Wednesday. The woman's body was found on October 29 in a tenement house at Wojska Polskiego Street in Łódź.

– The expert determined that the death occurred at the turn of June and July 2024. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition. There are no traces of third party involvement, the prosecutor said.
Death at the turn of June and July
To determine the time of death, the prosecutor's office used, among others: from the opinion of an expert entomologist. According to the expert, the death occurred in June, or at the latest in early July 2024. Due to the state of decomposition, it was difficult to determine the age of the deceased, but according to the experts' assessment, she was 30-50 years old.
– We assume that the deceased could have been about 40 years old. She had no special features, said prosecutor Jasiak. He added that the police searchers conducting the proceedings had already identified a missing person – a woman from Łódź from another district of Łódź.
The identity of the deceased can be confirmed by comparative DNA tests.
