The Los Angeles Times reported that the footage was captured by a surveillance camera fireball explosionwhen the plane – single-engine Vans RV-10 – hit the roof of the facility. A fire broke out. Firefighters evacuated several hundred people from the warehouse and nearby companies.
Two people were killed and 18 injured, according to police spokeswoman Kristy Wells. Ten of them had to stay in hospitals, eight were treated on the spot.

Wells added that it is not yet clear whether the two fatalities were on the plane or on the ground. Secured recordings show a large hole in the warehouse's roof, from which smoke was coming out.

The Los Angeles Times has reached recordings from the last moments of the flight. According to the daily, immediately after take-off the pilot reported that immediate landing is necessary.
In the recording, you can hear the pilot agreeing with the air traffic controller on which runway he intends to land. Ultimately, he changed his mind and announced that he would land on a different runway than he originally intended. Less than a minute later, you can hear panicked gasping for breath. “Oh my God,” the pilot said, and then the voice stopped.
AFP reported that there was another accident at Fullerton airport in November. There were no casualties, but two people were injured.
Fullerton, in Orange County, is a renowned cultural center. It houses, among others, California State University CSUF.
