This is the black market value of 44 liters of liquid cocaine, which was seized as part of the cooperation of services from the United States, the Czech Republic and Europol. The shipment, which was supposed to contain only branded wines, was loaded onto a container ship in Panama. He was intercepted in the Lublin Voivodeship. Two residents of this region and a 53-year-old from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship were detained.
“The disruption of this smuggling route is the result of many months of operational cooperation with services dealing with combating drug crime from the United States, the Czech Republic and Europol,” we read on the website of the Border Guard Headquarters.
The shipment, containing branded wine and concealed liquid cocaine, was originally loaded onto a container ship in a Panamanian seaport. The cargo was ultimately supposed to reach Poland via a route running through one of the European seaports and a customs point in Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

“Thanks to the coordinated action of Polish-Czech services, we managed to stop the transport of cocaine in the Lublin Voivodeship” – informs Border Guard.
The transport was intercepted by officers from the Maritime Unit of the Border Guard in Gdańsk. Two residents of the Lublin Voivodeship (aged 41 and 47) and a 53-year-old resident of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship were also detained.

From three to 20 years in prison
All of them were charged with participation in an organized criminal group and intra-Community smuggling of significant amounts of drugs, which may result in a sentence of three to 20 years in prison.
The District Court of Gdańsk Południe, at the request of the prosecutor, applied a preventive measure to the detainees in the form of temporary arrest.
“The case is developing. Further detentions are possible,” says the Border Guard.
