Spanish firefighters intervened in an unusual situation. Their help was required by a goat, which got stuck on the window sill on the fifth floor. The animal managed to lure to a safe place thanks to lettuce and carrots.
The inhabitants of the Villaverde District on Wednesday came up their heads when they passed one of the blocks there. There was a goat on the windowsill on the fifth floor.
The animal did not have much opportunity to move. At times he managed to enter the external unit of air conditioning. Firefighters were called to help.
It was lured with vegetables
The rescue team had to take advantage of the neighboring terrace.
– We were supposed to use a ladder, but the goat was too nervous. We finally came up with another idea. Because it was not a large distance, we placed the board as a kind of bridge – said Alfredo Garrido, one of the firefighters who took part in the rescue operation.
Then they began to lure the goat with lettuce and carrot. The animal passed by itself on the bridge.
– Finally, the goat itself entered the terrace. Then, when she was inside, a colleague entered the window, took her into the corner, led her to the living room and immobilized it there – added Garrido.
The goat was handed over to carers from one of the Madrid veterinary centers. It is not known how she found herself on the windowsill, but she came out of this event unscathed.
