The services received a report of the incident on Thursday after 9 a.m. On national road No. 10 in Makowiska, Bydgoszcz County, the truck driver hit a tree.
Firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Department in Solec Kujawski worked on site, among others.
“A moment after 9 a.m., the Management Station of the Municipal Commander of the State Fire Service in Bydgoszcz received a report about a truck accident. Initial findings showed that the truck drove to the side of the road and then hit a fence, as a result of which the driver was trapped in the vehicle. As The first to arrive at the scene were firefighters from Solec Kujawski and the Medical Rescue Team. As it turned out, the driver of the vehicle hit a tree and not a fence. – we read in the team's entry.

Firefighters had to use hydraulic equipment to free the driver from the cab. The man was taken to hospital, which was confirmed by Commissioner Lidia Kowalska from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Bydgoszcz in an interview with tvn24.pl.
– The driver was taken to hospital. The right tire of a car transporting chicken meat blew out. The driver left the road and hit a tree. The car is on the side of the road waiting to be reloaded. Traffic will certainly be suspended while the vehicle is being reloaded and removed, but for now it is proceeding normally, the policewoman said.
