Joński was asked whether negotiations with Viktor Orban about concessions from Brussels to Hungary in exchange for Romanowski are possible.

– I can guarantee you that no one will trade with Orban for anything. Everyone knows where Orban is, Orban is where Putin is, he said. As he said, “just look at the (Hungarian EU Presidency – ed.) presidency, what was happening.” – Nobody took her seriously. There were voices that this presidency should be canceled altogether, said the MEP.

When asked whether he had a grudge against the Polish services for allowing the PiS MP to go to Hungary, he replied that “in his opinion, he (Romanowski – ed.) will be brought back and will answer very severely, also for this escape.”
