An application for a European Arrest Warrant (EAW) will be submitted to the court against PiS MP Marcin Romanowski, announced national prosecutor Dariusz Korneliuk. He said prosecutors had already asked Interpol's national office to issue a red notice in the case of the former deputy justice minister.
Last week, the District Court for Warsaw Mokotów decided on a three-month detention for Marcin Romanowski. The MP did not appear at the court hearing. On Thursday, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation issued an arrest warrant behind an MP suspected in the investigation into the Justice Fund (FS).
Searching in the international area
Korneluk said on Wednesday in the “Bez Uników” program on “Trójka” radio that on Tuesday prosecutors submitted a request to the national office of Interpol for the so-called red note. This will allow – as he explained – to search for the former deputy minister of justice in the international area. – An application has been prepared today and will be sent today for a European arrest warrant – Korneluk said.
He also said that the prosecutor's office currently has no evidence to bring charges against the former Minister of Justice in the FS case Zbigniew Ziobro.
