Today, the main suspect is being released because the National Prosecutor's Office forgot to file an application to lift his immunity with the Council of Europe. Embarrassment,” he said. National Prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk was asked whether he would resign in connection with the situation.
Former Deputy Minister of Justice Marcin Romanowski has been charged with 11 counts, including participation in an organized criminal group. He was detained on Monday, and a motion for arrest was filed on Tuesday. However, he was not arrested.. – The court did not take into account the prosecutor's request for my temporary arrest in connection with the fact that as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe I am entitled to immunity – he said on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.

In another post he admitted that “the issue of this immunity is very complex and law professors have expressed different opinions today”. “I do not rule out that the second instance court will change the decision of the district court. Regardless, however, an application should have been filed with the Council of Europe. The prosecutor's office would have avoided embarrassment”, Giertych indicated.
He added that “the prosecutor's office must be completely cleansed”. “90 percent of Ziobro's prosecutors were left in the National Prosecutor's Office. It's similar in the Regional Prosecutor's Offices. Then there are the effects,” he stated.
Korneluk to resign? “If the attorney general finds me responsible for this”
“Gazeta Wyborcza” asked Dariusz Korneluk, the national prosecutor, whether he would resign in connection with the Romanowski case.
“If the Attorney General (Adam Bodnar – ed.) finds that I am responsible for this, then there is certainly no need to initiate the dismissal procedure,” he replied, as quoted by “GW”.
