I have instructed the Head of the Chancellery and the legal services of the Sejm to determine how, as soon as possible, the Republic of Poland can stop paying the MP remuneration for the job from which he resigned – wrote the 10th Marshal of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, on the website.

On Thursday, the District Court in Warsaw informed Fr issuance of the European Arrest Warrant for Marcin Romanowski. On the same day, Bartosz Lewandowski, defender PiS MP and former deputy minister of justice, informed that the Hungarian government granted Romanowski international protection. The information was also confirmed by the head of Orban's office, Gergely Gulyas, in an interview for the pro-government newspaper “Mandiner”.

“I understand that he is also choosing Hungarian support. Due to his flight from the country, which means a clear betrayal of his parliamentary oath, I have ordered the Head of the Chancellery and the legal services of the Sejm to determine how as soon as possible the Republic of Poland can stop paying the MP remuneration for work. from which he retired,” Hołownia announced.

The search for Romanowski has been going on since last Thursday, when the court agreed with the prosecutor's decision on a three-month detention for the former deputy minister of justice. 11 charges were brought against the politician in connection with the Justice Fund case conducted by the prosecutor's office. The PiS MP's temporary arrest is said to be due to law enforcement authorities' concerns about possible attempts to tamper with the proceedings. On Wednesday, the National Prosecutor's Office announced that Romanowski's place of stay may be one of the European Union countries.
