The United States will stop attempted to negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine within a few days, unless there are clear signs that it is possible – said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Paris.
Marco Rubio, who met in Paris with the leaders of France, Germany, Great Britain and Ukraine, noted that the president USA Donald Trump still wants to develop an agreement, but he also has many “other priorities” in the world and if there are no signs of progress, he will go to other matters.

Rubio came to Paris on Thursday. In the early afternoon he met with a special US envoy Steve Witkoff with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Ukrainian side with “constructive and positive discussion”
On Thursday evening, the Chancellery of the President of Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelodyski wrote that “both sides had a constructive and positive discussion about paths for complete suspension of weapons and a further process of achieving a versatile, fair and lasting peace.”
As noted, the Ukrainian delegation maintained its involvement in peacekeeping with its partners from the USA and Europe and “emphasized that the complete suspension of weapons is crucial.”
