Melchiory 2025. Journalist of “Supervisor” Ewa Galica laureate

Journalist of “Superwizjer” Ewa Galica became a laureate of the Polish Competition for the Polish Radio Reporter Prize “Melchiora”. Galica won in the video report for the material “Putin's circle. Secrets of Russian estates in Europe”. The statuettes were distributed in eight categories.

Journalist of “Superwizjer” Ewa Galica, as well as Agnieszka Szwajgier and Dorota Salus, Magda Skawińska, Katarzyna Michalak, Piotr Król, as well as Adrian Bąk, Przemysław Wilczyński – this year's winners of the National Competition for the Polish Radio “Melchiory” Polish Radio Reporter Competition. Anna Dudzińska received the special award, and Artur Giordano became the creator of the year.

The winners were announced during the gala, which took place on Thursday at the Polish Radio Musical Studio Agnieszka Osiecka.

The editor -in -chief of Polish Radio Paweł Majcher thanked the members of the jury for helping to rebuild the prestige and reputation of Polish Radio. – This is an important moment for Polish Radio, because this year we have its centenary, and in a few days we celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the Three – he said.

The statuettes were awarded in eight categories. In the category of video report “Melchior” she won the journalist of “Supervisor” Ewa Galica for “Putin's circle. Secrets of Russian estates in Europe”. Galica in his document, following the money led out of Russiahe reaches Tenerife, where he meets the dirty money of the Russians involved in the laundering. The journalist talks, among others, with the Spanish prosecutor, who for 20 years, risking her life, chases the Russian mafia, and is now conducting the most difficult matter in his career. The film also appears American businessman Bill Browder, whom Putin published from Russia.

In the same category, the journalist of “Supervisor” Bertold Kittel for the report “King of amphetamine. Breaking Bad in Polish” was also nominated. In his report he told the story of Ryszard Jakubczyk – an absolute and dangerous criminal who used his knowledge of chemistry and built many drug factories. Police around the world fighting drug -business believe that he produced one of the most dangerous and most deadly intoxicants.

“Melchiory” 2025. Winners

In the audioserial category, Agnieszka Szwajgier and Dorota Salus for “Kryptoscam” (Radio 357), and in the documentary (historical, biographical, artistic) category – Magda Skawińska for “Wiełek” (Studio of the Polish Radio Report) – received the “Melchior” statuette. In turn, Katarzyna Michalak received the award in the Reportage (social, intervention, investigator) category for “Masks” (Polish Radio Lublin), and Piotr Król (“Masks”, “One more winter”) from Polish Radio Lublin won the acoustic implementation category.

In the author's Podcast category, Adrian Bąk won for “Rebellion. The decisive fight for the earth” (Radio 357), while in the category of press/internet reportage – Przemysław Wilczyński for “Our children, our case” (“Tygodnik Powszechny”).

In addition, a special prize was awarded to a reporter, an editor from Radio Trójka, a collaborator of the Polish Radio Reports Studio Anna Dudzińska for Audioserial “Saam. Relastic conscience of Scandinavia” (Foundation Scripture) and the document “Seven Tactics from fame” (Trójka – Polish Radio, Radio 357).

In turn, the creator of the year was repeatedly remembered during the Thursday gala Artur Giordano – sound implementer, composer, mentor, independent creator. The implementer said that he cooperates with both experienced and young artists. He assured that he would continue to support them with his knowledge and help, but he pointed out that the time had come for young radio to be able to implement their materials.

In addition to the “Melchior” statuette, winners of each category will also receive a cash prize. The total prize pool is over 100,000. zloty.

19th edition of the competition

The National Competition for the Polish Radio Reporter Prize “Melchiory” took place for the 19th time. It was addressed to employees and associates of Polish Radio, regional radio stations as well as authors and producers of radio programs professionally involved in such activities, and also publishing outside of public radio radio, also for television and press journalists. Students of universities could also take part in it.

The patron of the competition is an outstanding reporter, writer and publicist Melchior Wańkowicz, and the originator – radio journalist and reporter Irena Piłatowska. The organizer of “Melchior” is the Polish Radio Report studio.

The jury of this year's award was joined by journalists, reporters and experts: Karolina Wigura (chairwoman), Andrzej Brzoska, Agnieszka Czyżewska-Jacquemet, Agata Kasprolewicz, Ilona Łepkowska, Bartosz Panek (editor-in-chief of the Polish Radio report Żerwe.
