Michał Woś detained by the police for speeding. He was to cover with immunity. PiS MP explains

Law and Justice MP Michał Woś was detained on Tuesday by the police in connection with his speed. The unofficial information of TVN24.pl shows that the parliamentarian was to cover himself with immunity. He drove away without a ticket. When asked about the matter, he assured him that he wanted to accept a mandate and “he did not hide his immunity.” He claims that the parliamentary ID was the only document that he could have turned out to be at that time. The Provincial Police Headquarters in Katowice reported that “explanatory activities will be carried out in the case.”

The incident occurred on Tuesday in Rybnik. MP Michał Woś on the road with a speed limit to 70 kilometers per hour was to exceed the speed by 40 km/h. For the police, this means preparing documentation from the intervention and the end of the case. The MP left without a ticket.

“I was not covered by immunity. The police asked me to show an ID card that I did not have with me. I told the police that I only had a parliamentary ID card and I asked clearly that they would act according to the procedure – wanting to accept the mandate. After writing the data, the police informed me that I would receive relevant information later and I can go further.”

Woś informed that in connection with the information we obtained “he contacted the Municipal Police Commander in Rybnik to clarify this matter.” “I have never covered myself with parliamentary immunity at road offenses,” he emphasized.

The editorial office of TVN24.pl asked the Provincial Police Headquarters in Katowice for the details of WOSIA.

“Policemen from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Rybnik detained a vehicle for road control, whose driver committed a traffic offense consisting in exceeding the speed.
