From July 1, we will be able to treat endometriosis at the National Health Fund – she announced during the debate about the endometriosis of “such your beauty” on TVN24 of the Minister of Health Izabela Leszczyna. She also said that an endometriosis treatment center would be created. The debate will be available on TVN24 GO.

Hazel: endometriosis will be treated for the National Health Fund
– In two weeks, the regulation, which talks about benefits financed from the state budget in the field of hospital treatment, goes to consultation. I hope that all patients, women suffering from endometriosis, will send us their comments. Of course, doctors will do it, experts will do it – said health minister Izabela Leszczyna.
– I am sure that from July 1 we will be able to treat endometriosis in Poland thanks to financing from the National Health Fund – the minister announced.
She also added that the Endometriosis Treatment Center would be created. – Everyone in every hospital will not be able to treat this advanced endometriosis. They must really be specialists, professionals – explained Leszczyna. She added that there would be trainings for specialist doctors.

“Your beauty”
TVN “Facts” reporters Magda Łucyan and Katarzyna Górniak in 2021 created a report “Your beauty” bringing what endometriosis is, what the lives of women who suffer from it look like and what they measure, seeking help from doctors. The reporters also wrote the book “Such a beauty. How endometriosis destroys the life of Polish women”, in which they presented the stories of nine women fighting this disease.
Endometriosis is a disease in which the uterus tissue comes out of the uterus and – like cancer – spreads to the body, overgrowing more organs, which causes huge pain and infertility. Although every tenth woman suffers from endometriosis, so far there was no system of their treatment in Poland.
