The traffic organization will change at the new S7 Modlin route at the new node. The contractor will arrange a new surface on the national road neighboring with exits from the expressway. There will be a speed limit of 50 kilometers per hour and a shuttle.

Between Płońsk and Czosnowno, the former national “seven” is being expanded to the parameters of the expressway. Both road belts are passable, but drivers are waiting for changes in traffic organization this weekend. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways announces that from Friday works in the Modlin junction area. Road workers intend to arrange a new surface on national road number 62 within this node.

Difficulties will start on Friday, May 23 at 20 and will last until 10pm on Sunday, May 25. The communiqué reads that the traffic will take place shuttle and will be manually directed, which means that there may be short -term stopping of traffic and changing its organization.

“Depending on the stage of works, in the event of closing the downhill connector with DK62 from Płock towards Warsaw, a detour will be determined by other connectors of the node. In the event of closing the downhill connector with DK62 towards Gdańsk, a detour will be determined through the Błonie node” – announces GDDKiA.

“Please pay special attention to the marking and traffic conditions changing on the DK62, changing the works. The marking indicated on the maps will be implemented in stages – depending on the area of ​​the work carried out” – warn road workers.

The traffic on the “seven” itself will be unchanged throughout the weekend.

Construction of an expressway from the capital to the sea

The expansion of “seven” to the parameters of the express road is divided into three stages. The works are currently taking place on all sections, i.e. between the towns of Płońsk Południe (Siedlin) – Załuski, Załuski – Modlin and Modlin – Czosnów.

“Work is underway for the construction of the road structure. The foundation and the surface of the expressway are carried out, paving works are carried out. Bridge works are also underway, as well as those related to the reconstruction of collision with underground devices. The construction of acoustic screens and assembly of their filling are also underway. The bridge structure on the Vistula is also strengthened – GDDKiA describes.

Road estimates show that the most advanced works on the section between Modlin and Czosnow, their progress was estimated at 84 percent. The next section is the Załuski – Modlin section, where 76 percent of planned works have already been carried out.

The advancement of works between Płońsk and Załuskami is 68 percent. According to the contract, the episode was to be ready in May 2025. So far, road workers have not signed any annex with the contractor. In turn, for the other two episodes, the time was officially extended to complete the work by August 2025.

“In the procedure there are claims of contractors of all three episodes who expect to extend the time to finish or additional financial resources. We mobilize contractors to provide the main route of all episodes this year” – informs GDDKiA.

Six new nodes

The two -lane route will change into a three -lane. Drivers will be able to enter it through six road junctions: Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, Modlin, Zakroczym, Załuski, Przyborowice and Kczernin.

The project involves the construction of three travelers' service places (MOP Modlin, Załuski and Pieczernin), road maintenance circuit and engineering facilities such as bridges, viaducts and culverts. In addition, the investment also includes the construction of roads to service adjacent areas.

The investment cost is over PLN 2.8 billion. It is financed from EU funds in the amount exceeding PLN 1.2 billion.
