More parking spaces for councilors in front of the magistrate in Szczecin. Residents are outraged

New, free parking spaces for Szczecin councilors. They had six places, and now they have eight extra at the expense of the office's clients, i.e. the sovereign that the councilors chose. The word “scandal” is changed by all cases.

It is not easy to park in front of the Szczecin City Hall. – Generally, the situation is hopeless – says one of the drivers. – I probably drove five wheels – adds another.

The city authorities also see this problem. – Generally, it can certainly be said that it is difficult to find a free parking place around the office – says Dariusz Sadowski from the City Hall of Szczecin.

Envelopes were painted in front of the building and plates were hung, informing that there are only places for councilors participating in the work of the committee. – There are empty places, and yet people drive cars around you to find a place – notes one of the residents of Szczecin.

They had six places, now they have 14 places

The councilors had six places designated earlier. Now they got another eight places. They are empty, and there are bollards on them. – Places that will serve officials, not only councilors. Remember that councilors also come to work to the City Hall. They run committees, participate in sessions of the city council – explains Mateusz Gieryga, a Szczecin councilor from the Civic Coalition.

There is no session for the moment, but if it was – the places are waiting. – This situation is like putting a cuckoo egg. As we would expect, and we did not expect it at any time – comments Marek Duklanowski, a Szczecin councilor from Law and Justice.

The office himself came up with it. – The change regarding parking around the city hall is really largely due to the voice of residents, newlyweds or seniors – indicates Dariusz Sadowski.

Four places for young couples were also designated for the time of the “wedding ceremony”. – I completely understand the inhabitants that taking the few places that the city hall decided to take, it is hard. Let's not fool ourselves, it is hard to find a parking space in Szczecin – admits Mateusz Gieryga.

There is one more solution. – You have to change to public transport, because there are generally too many cars – advises one of the residents of Szczecin. – Three bus lines come to the office itself, literally to the office – adds Marek Duklanowski.

This matter will probably appear. – These are not changes introduced to the end of the world. We will react in case of needs – assures Dariusz Sadowski.
