A young man died during a sleigh ride in Myślibórz (Łódź Voivodeship) after he hit a tree. The fire brigade and an LPR helicopter went to the scene of the incident. Despite resuscitation, rescuers failed to save the 25-year-old's life. According to police information, 9-10 people took part in the sleigh ride. The services are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
The officer on duty at the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Opoczno said that the services received a report that around 5 p.m. on Sunday in Myślibórz (Opoczno County, Łódź Voivodeship) a 25-year-old man taking part in a sleigh ride hit a tree.
The incident occurred on a forest road that is rarely used.
He died despite resuscitation
An LPR helicopter landed on site. The injured party was unconscious. The emergency medical team started resuscitation. However, the action was abandoned and the man was pronounced dead. The fire brigade's actions included securing the scene of the incident and lighting it.
Aspirant Agnieszka Januszewska-Kalużna, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Opoczno, said that preliminary information shows that 9-10 people took part in the sleigh ride. They were all adults.
The services are currently working on determining what exactly happened.
