“A security incident is not the same as a cyberattack”
“At this point, as NASK, we cannot comment on the described situation. In accordance with the rules of operation of the CERT Polska team, operating within NASK structures, if a security incident has been reported to CERT Polska, we cannot share such information,” wrote Tomasz Kulas from the NASK press office in response to a TVN24 inquiry.
He added that “CERT Polska experts are convinced that in this case the security incident is not tantamount to a cyberattack” and “we are probably dealing with a failure, or more specifically – a failure of CrowdStrike's antivirus software.”
