He added that this applies to increasing investment in defense. – Righteous NATO means that everyone has a fair share in it. Stronger NATO means that we will always be in place, we will always be ready to defend and ensure our safety – he explained.

– I know that there will be an increasing investment on the site Canada and the United States. Already last year these countries increased defense expenses by 20 percent, so a lot of money has already been allocated – noted Rutte.

In terms of defense expenditure, NATO Secretary General estimated that “Poland is a leader here”. – Of course, not to mention Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania – these countries are going to spend five percent on defense in the following years – he noted. – the German parliament also released additional funds, The czech republicDenmark, Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom – all these countries have committed to increasing expenses, and in last week the European Union proposed an initiative to release EUR 800 billion for defense – Rutte mentioned. Rutte: Press the gas pedal

Rutte estimated that we should “press the accelerator”, and we are already dealing with examples of such acceleration. – Europe and America are currently producing much more ammunition, new factories are being built from France to Finland, at the moment there are many more fighters in our sky in Europe than in previous years. We produce much more together, together – he said.

In his opinion, even more of this type of initiatives is needed, because “in this way we will contribute to the development of defense” and to create new jobs. – There are so many opportunities to stimulate actions in this area even more. There are hundreds of billions of euros or dollars that could be invested in this area, and we must act faster, increase this production throughout the alliance – emphasized Rutte.
