The Government Security Center announced that sirens will sound in Warsaw on Wednesday, October 9. A message about the alarm system exercises was sent to the residents of Mazovia.
“Attention! Tomorrow (9.10 a.m. 11.00 a.m.) alarm system exercises in Warsaw. Announcement – modulated sound 3 min. Appeal – continuous sound 3 min. Keep calm” – this message was received by the inhabitants of the Masovian Voivodeship on Tuesday.

Mermaids on important anniversaries
Alarm sirens are activated in Warsaw on the occasion of celebrations of anniversaries of important events in the capital. You can hear them, among others August 1 at 5 p.m. In this way, the city commemorates the heroes of the 1944 uprising.
Sirens also sound at noon on the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (1943), which is celebrated on April 19.
