Donald Trump and his wife Melania will take part in the funeral of Pope Francis – the President of the United States in social media informed. The funeral will take place between Friday and Sunday. His date is to be announced on Tuesday.
On Monday, Donald Trump ordered to leave the state flags halfway up to honor the deceased Pope Francis. He added that the Pope was “a good man who worked hard.” When asked if he agreed with Francis's message about “tolerance for migrants”, he replied that he agreed with it.
The regulation on leaving flags is to apply until the Pope's funeral. Cardinals will decide on Tuesday when exactly the funeral of Franciszek will take place. The Vatican said that the last farewell would take place between Friday and Sunday. The media indicate Saturday, April 26 as the most likely date.
On Monday evening, the Vatican announced the Testament of Francis. The Pope wrote in him that he wanted to be buried in the Roman papal basilica of Our Lady. The Pope asked for a modest grave in the ground and the only inscription on the grave: Franciscus. The will is dated June 29, 2022.
Franciszek died on the second day of Easter at the age of 88.
