President of the board of the Polish Armaments Group Krzysztof Trofiniak resigned from his position – the company said in a communiqué. The PGZ Board currently operates in a four -person composition.
Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa is one of the largest defense concerns in Europe – a capital group gathering dozens of industrial plants, service facilities and key research centers for the Polish defense industry. PGZ – as indicated on the concern's website – is also a producer of innovative systems and solutions used by the Polish Armed Forces and allied formations.
In mid -March, deputy prime minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz He denied the rumors that his ministry was to press on the possible resignation of the president of the Polish Armaments Group.
At the beginning of March, Kosiniak-Kamysz said during the Forum of the Polish Armaments Industry in Warsaw that the Ministry of National Defense expects “immediate effects” on increasing the production possibilities of ammunition. – The Polish government will not wait for any sluggishness and for any negligence. The construction of ammunition factories, as well as the openness that I see today, from PGZ to cooperation with the private industry is absolutely necessary. We need many ammunition factories in Poland – said the deputy prime minister.
