As a rule, on the day of voting ex officio, he will be included in the voter list at the place of his registration. If on the election day, however, he is outside of it, for example on vacation, he permanently lives at a different address than the registered address, or is not included in any permanent voting circuit in the Central Register of Voters, from April 4 to May 15 may submit an application for a change in the voting place.
Where and how to submit a request to change the place of voting
The application includes surname and name (or names), citizenship, PESEL number and the address of the election day. A ready application with a own signature can be submitted in writing to the Commune Office, in which the voter will vote or in a version with a qualified electronic signature, trusted signature or personal signature, using electronic services on GOV.P websitel. The whole procedure is free.
If the voter changes the place of voting, it will be removed from the list of voters in which he was previously included. Soldiers and other officers who want to vote at the place of service should also be submitted for a change in the voting place.
Presidential election. Change of voting – second round
Importantly, if after the first round of presidential elections it turns out that the second round will be carried out, voters who submitted a request to change the place of voting before the first round will be included in the same list of voters also in the second. To participate in a vote in another circuit – including e.g. at a place of permanent residence – you should obtain a certificate of voting right from any selected office of the commune or submit a request to change the voting place – in writing or in an electronic version. This should be done until May 29i.e. three days before possible second round.
