The party's president, Jarosław Kaczyński, was asked about the potential candidate of Law and Justice in the presidential elections by Arleta Zalewska, a reporter of “Fakty” TVN. He said that no decision had been made yet. He also estimated that there were “four” candidates for nomination.
Law and Justice has not yet announced who the party's candidate will be in next year's presidential elections. Media reports say that the president may be on the list of potential candidates Institute of National Remembrance Karol NawrockiMEP and former candidate for president of the capital Tobiasz Bocheńskiformer Minister of Education and Science Przemysław Czarnek or the former head of the Ministry of National Defense, currently the head of the PiS club Mariusz Błaszczak.

When asked if the party authorities had already made a decision about the candidate, the PiS president replied that “not yet.”
– So talks are still ongoing. Do you think it will be decided this week? – she asked. “Oh, God willing,” he replied.
When asked what this depended on, he replied that “it depends on the final findings, in particular research.” Zalewska also asked whether there were three or two candidates for the nomination, because in this context there were different voices.

Terlecki about the names in the game
Still on Wednesday the deputy head of the PiS club, Ryszard Terlecki, claimed:that “at the moment, one could say, the choice is being made between two candidates, i.e. Przemysław Czarnek and Karol Nawrocki.”
– But there are always surprises in such circumstances, so a surprise may happen here too. Although it will probably be one of these two – he added.
