Prime Minister of Moldova Dorin Recean announced that Russian agents have spent around EUR 200 million to bribe Moldovan voters during last year's presidential elections and a referendum on membership in the European Union.
“The Kremlin agents launched a huge campaign to buy votes, spent about EUR 200 million – almost 1 percent of Moldova GDP – to destabilize our country,” said the head of government in Chisinau Dorin Recean, quoted by the Reuters agency.

Russia's interference in the election in Moldova
Moldova repeatedly accused Moscow of interfering with her internal affairs. Accuses Russiathat he wants to keep her in the sphere of his influence. Moscow rejects these accusations and criticizes the authorities in Chisinau.
Last year's election was won by a pro -western president Maia Sanduand in the European referendum, Moldova, by minimal votes, argued in favor of entering European integration in the constitution as a strategic direction of the country's development.
In autumn, parliamentary elections will take place in Moldova, which – as Reuters pointed out – to test the popularity of the pro -European government.
