The Prosecutor's Office and the Office of Internal Affairs are investigating the case of firing a service weapon during training at the police station in Pułtusk. A spokeswoman for the local police confirmed that the facade of the headquarters building was damaged. The policeman who committed this left the service.

First information about the event we received on Kontakt24. According to our informant, there was a “shooting with an unauthorized weapon” in the police station building, and the policeman responsible was dismissed from service.

When asked about the case by TVN24, junior officer Magdalena Bielińska of the District Police Headquarters in Pułtusk denied that a shooting had taken place. – Nevertheless, it is a fact that during the training, a shot was fired from a smoothbore service weapon with explosive ammunition, as a result of which the structure of the facade of the command building was damaged, no one was injured – Bielińska said.

The younger midshipman Bielińska noted that the shot was fired by a “shooting instructor who served as the Head of the Prevention Department.” – It is not true that he was dismissed from service as a result of the events. The policeman left the service at his own request, the spokeswoman assured.

Finally, the policewoman informed that “in connection with the incident, investigation activities are being carried out at the local police station.” – In accordance with the procedures, the District Prosecutor's Office in Pułtusk and the Internal Affairs Office were notified about the incident – she emphasized.
