In the morning, a fire broke out in the attic of an abandoned tenement house in Radom. 17 fire brigades fought the fire. No one was injured, but residents of the neighboring building had to be evacuated.
Information about the fire at Wałowa Street received the command post of the Municipal Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Radom around 5 a.m. – It is a residential building connected to a farm building. Five people were evacuated: three adults and two children. At the height of the action, 17 fire protection units and nearly 50 firefighters were on site – said junior Captain Wiktor Romanowski from the City Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Radom in an interview with tvnwarszawa.pl.

The press spokesman for the Chief Commander of the State Fire Service, Senior Brigadier Karol Kierzkowski, said on Wednesday that the fire was the “most serious incident” during New Year's Eve in Radom.
Volunteer firefighters from Makowiec said on Facebook that the activities focused on “extinguishing the fire, defending adjacent buildings, pouring the fire and demolition works.”
In addition to the fire brigade, there were also police, city guards and an ambulance at the scene of the incident. The firefighting operation was completed at 9.30. The police will determine the cause of the fire.
