The Ukrainian air force warned of a Russian missile attack early Wednesday morning, reporting the takeoff of Russian Tu-22s and MiG-31 fighters carrying missiles.
After 4:40 a.m. Ukrainian time (3:40 a.m. in Poland), the Ukrainian Air Force reported that a group of enemy missiles was heading toward the Chernihiv region. It warned that the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi and Lviv regions were also in the danger zone.
In subsequent posts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported a missile threat to the Odessa region due to the launch of Russia Tu-22 bombers heading for the Black Sea region. They also reported that two MiG-31 fighters carrying missiles took off from Savaslejka airport in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
