US President Joe Biden talked with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about increasing aid to Ukraine and announced a new military aid package worth $425 million, the White House said.
The statement shows that the package includes, among other things, increasing air defense assets, air-to-ground munitions and armored vehicles.
“In the coming months, the United States will provide additional support to Ukraine in the form of, among others, hundreds of interceptor missiles, dozens of tactical air defense systems, additional artillery systems, significant amounts of ammunition, hundreds of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles, and thousands of additional armored vehicles that will help equip armed forces of Ukraine,” it added.
