Sabalenka with a sincere confession. The coach heard everything
After a few weeks of rest, the 26-year-old returned to training before the new campaign. And it started at the end of December. As part of preparations for the next edition of the Australian Open, Sabalenka will take part in the WTA 500 competition in Brisbane. A year ago, the first racket in the world reached the final there, where she lost to Elena Rybakina. Currently, Kazaszka has started in the United Cup, which makes Sabalenka the main candidate to win.
The Belarusian, seeded No. 1, received a free ticket. This means that the competition will start from the 1/16 finals. However, before Aryna Sabalenka appears on the court, the WTA organization on social media invited her to take part in an unusual game titled “We listen and do not judge.” The 27-year-old stood in front of the camera alongside her coach Anton Dubrov. Both the tennis player and her coach revealed several secrets that did not attract any comment.
At one point, Sabalenka revealed something that her coach probably didn't like very much. It turns out that once the tennis player… deceived Dubrov about his health! All this just to go shopping.
– One time I pretended to be very tired, but I wasn't… just to skip the second run and go shopping. We listen and don't judge, said the 27-year-old with a smile on her face. According to the rules of the game, the coach could not assess her behavior. In addition, the leader of the ranking made other “brutal” confessions. “I'm trying to stay fit and eat healthy, but my team members are getting bigger and bigger and bigger – it's very annoying,” she said jokingly. The entire material was created in a very humorous form.
Tournament in Brisbane will be a test for Aryna Sabalenka before the Australian Open. The Belarusian's first opponent will be Mexican Renata Zarazua (75th WTA). The ranking leader's match in the 1/16 finals of the WTA 500 Brisbane will be played on the night from Monday to Tuesday, Polish time.
