NASA has announced groundbreaking research results that are associated with the origin of life. Karol Wójcicki, the popularizer of astrology and author of the blog “with the head in the stars”, admits that the result of the research “is evidence, or at least a circumstantial evidence, showing that life on earth could have been built of molecules that came to us from space” .

Carbon -rich particles were taken 4 years ago by a NASA probe from the surface of the asteroid Bennu, flying near Earth. Two years ago, the probe dropped samples onto the desert in Utah.

Scientists from around the world thoroughly examined the cosmic debris, and the effects of these studies are amazing. Salt minerals were discovered in it, which once on Earth was the basis for life born in them.

– Minerals containing water, such as those from Benn, landed on Earth about 4 billion years ago – indicates prof. Dante Lauretta from the Lunar Laboratory and Planetary University of Arizona.

Have discovered the key elements necessary for life

In the sample, 14 out of 20 amino acids forming protein of living organisms and all 5 basic nitrogen nucleotide principles included in DNA and RNA. Simplifying, on the cosmic pebble is everything that allows you to cook “soup of life”.

– This is not yet evidence of the existence of life in space, but this is proof of this, or at least a circumstantial evidence, showing that life on earth could have been built of molecules that came to us from space – notes Karol Wójcicki, a popularizer Astrology and author of the blog “With the head in the stars”.

They could arrive a long time ago, when the solar system was formed. At that time, there was total chaos in our area, and the planetoids, from the same group as Benn, hit what they fell into, including the ground.

– In addition to Earth, a place where at least at some point life could exist, and perhaps still exists, i.e. Mars and these are ice moons of large planets – indicates Dr. Paweł Preś from the Astronomical Institute of the University of Wrocław.

In five years, the NASA probe will reach the vicinity of Jupiter to examine the ice surface of Europe from the orbit.
