Elon Musk, a billionaire and adviser to US President Donald Trump, called the Democrats senator Marek Kelly a traitor in the context of his visit to Kiev. Kelly, a former astronaut, called for further support of Ukraine.

“You are a traitor,” wrote Elon Musk on X, responding to a series of entries of Senator from Arizona Marek Kelly about the recently completed visit to Ukraine. The billionaire did not develop his speech.

“The traitor? Elon, if you do not understand that the defense of freedom is the basic principle of what makes America great and provides us with security, maybe you should leave it to those of us who understand this” – answered the politician.

He also argued that the break in the supply of weapons helps only the Russians, which additionally emboldens them and encourages them to put harder conditions in negotiations.

Musk's entry was another sharp criticism aimed at Ukraine and supporters of her support. Earlier, he supported the naming of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelnski, he accused him of directing “a disgusting, huge corruption machine, feeding on the corpse of Ukrainian soldiers”, and recently proposed to expel him to a neutral country and suggested the offer of amnestia for his alleged crime. Despite this, on Sunday he declared that he would not cut off the Ukrainian army access to the satellite communication system Starlink.
