Siekier attack at the University of Warsaw. Adam Bodnar was on the campus

During the attack at the University of Warsaw, the Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar stayed in the company of SOP officers. One of them took part in the action after the attack.

In the afternoon on The University of Warsaw had a macabre crime. A woman attacked with an ax on the campus is dead. The police detained a young student of this university. Adam Bodnar stayed during the attack at the University of Warsaw.

The attack took place at 18.40. At the same time, open lectures were ongoing at the University of Warsaw, which began at 16.30. One of the participants was the Minister of Justice, accompanied by officers of the State Protection Service. The information was the first to be provided by Artur Węgrzynowicz from TVN Warsaw, and Grzegorz Łakomski, an investigative journalist “Czar and Black” TVN24, confirmed it in his sources.

According to our information, the Minister of Justice immediately left the building.

The officers heard the screams

Bogusław Piórkowski, Colonel SOP, said in an interview with TVN24 that one of the SOP officers “provided assistance to intervening university protection guard employees, and also provided first aid for pre -medical aid to a wounded employee.”

– Our officers conducted their protective activities. And hearing the screams, one of the officers ran to this place of the incident, he noticed that the security workers were already incapacitated by this attacker, helped them in this activity and then (…) he also began to give pre -medical first aid to injured persons – said Piórkowski.

The colonel said that the SOP officer was not injured. – We are trained and prepared for such critical situations all the time, so thanks to this our officer reacted exemplary and maybe saved the life of this employee – he added.
