The bus driver who fatally hit a 14-year-old on a crossing in Warsaw was charged with, among other things, fleeing the scene of the incident and driving despite a court driving ban. 1. He had no right to get behind the wheel, he fatally hit a 14-year-old
A man suspected of hitting a 14-year-old boy at a pedestrian crossing in Warsaw was charged with causing a fatal accident, fleeing the scene of the incident, and also charged with failing to comply with a court driving ban. The suspect had multiple records for various types of crimes. He recently provided services to one of the courier companies. During interrogation, he pleaded guilty. On Monday morning, the prosecutor's office will decide whether to submit a request for temporary arrest to the court.
The accident occurred on Friday after 5 p.m. near the intersection of Ordona and Jana Kazimierza streets. The driver of a white delivery bus hit a 14-year-old boy crossing a pedestrian crossing. As a result of his injuries, the boy died in hospital.
2. Suspicious behavior of a vessel at an important location in the North Sea
The Norwegian Coast Guard is monitoring the strange behavior of the gas carrier “Mulan”, which has been in the North Sea for several days. The Panamanian-registered craft is circling over an area where connecting cables and gas pipelines run Dish, Norway and Great Britain.
The ship's captain initially explained that he was waiting for better weather. Since then, according to satellite positions, the ship has been zigzagging over undersea gas pipelines and cables connecting Norway, Great Britain and Denmark. On Saturday he was again near Stavanger.
3. Israel confirms that it is again talking to Hamas about hostages
Israel confirmed the resumption of indirect negotiations with Hamas Qatarwhose aim is to release hostages held in the Gaza Strip. Hamas announced the resumption of talks on Friday, emphasizing the goal of achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Palestinian Islamists said the discussions would focus on “a complete cessation of hostilities and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the besieged Palestinian territory.”
Israel did not provide details of the planned talks. On Saturday, rallies were organized in several Israeli cities with the aim of putting pressure on the government to release the hostages as soon as possible. Previous negotiations were held in December last year in Doha, but ended in failure, with Hamas and Israel accusing each other of blocking the talks.

4. Death during a sleigh ride
A 24-year-old man died during a sleigh ride in Myślibórz (Łódź Voivodeship) after he hit a tree. The fire brigade and an LPR helicopter went to the scene of the incident. Despite resuscitation, rescuers failed to save his life.
According to police information, 9-10 people took part in the sleigh ride, all of them were adults. The services are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

5. Fico on the other side of the world?
The head of the Slovak government, Robert Fico, has not appeared in public since his December trip to Moscow, but he has published several entries on the Internet. Journalists found out where he was. Hungarian investigative journalist Szabolcs Panyi wrote that the trail leads to a luxurious suite at the five-star Capella Hotel in Hanoi in Vietnam. The cost of a day at this hotel is 5,740 euros per night. “For context, his (Fico's) monthly salary is 11,200 euros,” Panyi said.
The same location was also reported by the Slovak portal “Dennik N”. Journalists contacted the hotel and asked to be connected to an apartment that Fico could rent. The call was transferred, but no one answered the phone. The receptionist explained that the person was probably not in the room.
6. Polish tennis players defeated in the final
