– Today the situation is clear. We know who takes responsibility for Poland and we know who will be watching it – this is how MEP Robert Biedroń commented on the split in the Razem party on TVN24. To the comment that the Left “does not learn from the mistakes” of the previous elections, he replied: – This is politics, reason does not always win.
Deputy Speaker of the Senate Magdalena Biejat announced that together with Anna Górska, Daria Gosek-Popiołek, Dorota Olko and Joanna Wicha decided to leave the Razem party. “In the Razem party, we were fundamentally divided by our vision of how we wanted to act in politics,” they said in a statement.
“We know who takes responsibility for Poland and we know who will be watching.”
He was asked about the split in the Razem party on Saturday in “One on One” Robert BiedrońLeft MEP.
– I think it's more like saying “see you” rather than “goodbye” for now. This is probably the formula of this separation, he said. – The discussion lasted too long. We all heard it, and we as politicians had to make a decision. I am glad that the party's politicians and activists made such a decision together, because today the situation is clear. We know who takes responsibility for Poland and we know who will be watching it, Biedroń added.
Biedroń: I declare that I will do everything to cooperate with Raz
He noted that he “keeps my fingers crossed for the Razem congress.” – I hope that they will elect good new authorities and we will cooperate with each other. I can't imagine that in the next parliamentary or local elections we won't run from one coalition team of the Left, he said.
– Personally, I can declare that I will do everything to continue working together with my party colleagues – said the TVN24 guest.
“Sometimes, unfortunately, emotions win”
Biedroń was also asked about the situation in the Left in the context of the upcoming presidential elections.
– Today, I don't see any potential in the Razem party to collect 100,000 signatures and register its own candidate, so perhaps political reality will verify some things. I encourage my colleagues from the Razem party to cooperate wherever possible and look for a common denominator. We have managed to do this in recent years, he replied.
To the comment that the Left “does not learn from the mistakes” of the previous elections, which it lost and went into them defeated, Biedroń replied: – This is politics, reason does not always win. Sometimes, unfortunately, emotions win.
