– There are several names: Nawałka, Brzęczek, Urban, Magiera. I do not rule out returning to its predecessor – said Cezary Kulesza in mid -June. Today we know that all the names he mentioned in an interview with Radio Zet PZPN president can be put between fairy tales.
“Hello, nobody called”
This is because Kulesza is trying to lose their clues, diluted the discussion or probed the coaching market. Today we already know who is the favorite to take the job of the selector of the Polish national team, but for now we will remove from the list of any successors Michał Probierz A few names.
Let's start with this trainer, for whom work with the staff would be a return to the position. According to our findings, PZPN contacted Adam Nawałka several days ago, it was a courtesy conversation. As we hear, the authorities wanted to find out if the coach was bad, how matters went in 2022.
We would like to remind you that in January that year Kulesza was already a word with Nawałka, but at the last moment he decided that the coach who would replace Paulo Sousa would be Czesław Michniewicz. After that story, a deaf silence fell between Nawałka and Kulesza.
Jan Urban was to be one of the candidates for the selector – at least according to sports media. However, when we call the former coach Górnik Zabrze, we hear on a good morning in the phone: “Hello, no one called.” Urban, therefore, admitted that there is no interest from PZPN.
“Nobody from PZPN said”
As in the case of Jacek Magiera. – No, no one from PZPN said – assured the former U -20 team coach on Tuesday. On the same day in the evening, one of the journalists published an entry on the website X that “he is more and more often information that Magiera would be the selector of the Polish national team.”
Once again, we assure you: the former Silesian trainer received and without keying he admitted that no secret negotiations with the football headquarters.
On the list is for that Jerzy Brzęczek. As we agreed, this is a candidacy with a considerable support of some of the Vice Presidents of PZPN. After Maciej Skorża, who officially resigned from the staff, is one of the few Polish, “safe” options. We also tried to contact coach Brzęczek, he finally picked up. – Did you talk to Kulesza or someone from PZPN about the frame in June? “No, I didn't talk,” Brzęczek said. He mentioned that the last meeting with the president took place some time ago at one of the celebrations.
Because the list of potential selectors from June 12 is over, we check the next names.
Marek Papszun was also one of the few Polish names. But the president of Kulesza informed us that he did not meet this trainer, and the fact that theme There is no Papszuna's work in the team, they were confirmed by people from Raków Częstochowa, i.e. the current employer of the trainer.
Kulesza knew about Skorża and was already active elsewhere
As in the case of Maciej Skorża. Although the topic of his work with the Polish national team does not officially exist anymore, it is worth looking at its backstage. For several days in this matter we have heard that it has no right to go. Before returning to Poland, she stopped too much: an important contract with Urawa Red Diamonds, family matters, and ongoing world championships in which the Skorży club is currently participating.
We also in no way managed to confirm that Cezary Kulesza met with coach Skorża in person. Recently, the president of PZPN was in Miami, and Skorża at the second end of the States – in Seattle and Portland. So it probably ended with several phones.
It would be better for Kulesza if Skorża was among the candidates for the selector, even in the media space. Then it is easier to negotiate with others. But Skorża thwarted these plans on Wednesday morning. At the conference before the last For him, KMŚ passed: “At the moment there are other goals ahead of me, other tasks to do. I hope that I will give me a Polish national team someday.”
Kulesza had known this for some time. We have a concrete now. And here we come to the most interesting trail of history with the selector. Foreign trail.
Bjelica gave us a message
– [Selekcjonerem] There must be someone who will not learn names. I think [powinien być to] A Pole – said Kulesza. It sounded more in another place that the president wants a coach “relationships with Poland”. And in one of the conversations with Sport.pl, Cezary Kulesza mentioned the coach “speaking Polish”.
Of the two foreign names present in the media space – that is, Kosty Runjaica and Nenada Bjelica – these conditions are better fulfilled by the latter. Runjaić, who worked in Poland with Pogoń and Legia, has a valid contract with Udinese And there is no indication that he wanted to say goodbye to Italy. PZPN representatives contacted the surroundings of Runjaica in mid -June, the contact was quite general.
More is happening in terms of Nenad Bjelica. The Croatian, who has no job at the moment, has reported to PZPN as one of the first. According to Sport.pl, Bjelica was interested in what was happening in a relationship, he called Polish friends with specific questions. Today, PZPN lawyers are already exchanging emails with the surroundings of one or two candidates. The fact that the case is closing until the end of June is real.
We called Bjelica, but the coach did not want to talk, he did not answer. In a message written in correct Polish, he said that “there is no mood for appearances in the media.” Anyway, he has been cutting off or limited contact with other people from Poland for some time, with whom he usually talks. Kulesza recently told us that Bjelica knows well Polish. You could feel that the gentlemen had contact with each other.
– Mr. President, will you surprise you a bit again? – We accosted Kulesza when he left the Tuesday meeting of the PZPN Board. – Is it going again towards someone from abroad? – we asked. The president smiled and added that he would like to know himself and then drove away. As for the official part of the management: “Selector” did not fall there. There were formal matters, such as approving the list of judges for the next season.
So it seems that a considerable surprise awaits us. Including the fact that Kulesza could talk to the former U-23 team coach who lives in Florida, and then an assistant in the USA team, Piotr Nowak. We called there. Piotr Nowak does not answer either. In that case, is the name number one on the list Bjelica? We'll find out any day.
