Policemen from Warsaw detained a 30-year-old Belarusian citizen who managed a PLN 250,000 Mercedes stolen in Spain. In the apartment used by the man and the second Mercedes he used, the officers found over 92 kilograms of drugs.

Policemen from the capital's department for fighting car crime determined that a man in a stolen Mercedes Vito could move through Warsaw streets. They decided to follow this car and check them as well as the driver in a safe place. The officers followed him to Marek, where Mercedes stopped.

Car stolen in Spain

“A man came out of the vehicle, who at the sight of policemen approaching him, began a walking escape. He did not respond to the orders issued. After a few hundred meters he was incapacitated and detained. During the intervention he was very nervous and vulgar to officers. The man turned out to be a 30 -year -old citizen of Belarus,” she said in KSP.

The Mercedes control, which the detainee was driving, showed that the vehicle is registered in Poland. However, after checking the VIN number, it turned out that such a number is not in the Mercedes factory database. “Policemen with the participation of experts from the Bug River Border Guard unit determined the real VIN of the vehicle. It came to light that the car was lost in Spain in November last year” – the police pointed out.

In Mercedes, the police found, among others Weapons, money in the national currency and euro, documents, as well as keys to other cars.

The detainee went to the cell, and Mercedes was towed to the police parking lot.

“In Ząbki, the police also found two other Mercedes, which was used by the 30-year-old. Due to the suspicion that the vehicles were converted with the VIN number, they went to the KSP criminal laboratory during the search of cars, in one of them, the police found significant amounts of drugs. In Mercedes there were over 53.5 kg of marijuana, nearly 15.5 kg, nearly 15.5 kg, near Amphetamines and MDMA tablets with a total weight of nearly 2.7 kg ” – indicated in the announcement.

In turn, in a suspect apartment in Ząbki, officers found another over 20 kilograms of hashish.

The 30-year-old heard four allegations. A citizen of Belarus is suspected of hiding a vehicle from a crime, as well as having significant amounts of intoxicants and psychotropic substances, and having weapons without a permit. The court decided to detain the suspect temporarily.
