At least ten people were killed as a result of lightning strokes in Bangladesh. On Sunday, intense storms underwent some districts of the country. Intense gusts of wind also led to fatal accidents.

According to local media, tragic accidents occurred in the northern and eastern regions of Bangladesh. In the Mojmonszingh district storm She surprised farmers in the rice fields – at least five people, including one teenager, died while working on farm. The region authorities confirmed that accidents were unrelated.

The storms were accompanied by dangerous gusts of wind, as a result of which two fatal accidents occurred in Mojmonszingh. In the commune of Ghagra, a storm surprised a passerby. The man took refuge under a tree, which was overturned by strong gusts and died on the spot. In the same region, a branch fell to a resident of another village. The wounded was transported to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.

On Sunday, the Bangladesh meteorological office warned against one more threat. A wave of heat has been remaining over the western and central part of the country for several days. In the city of Ćuadanga, thermometers showed 41.1 degrees Celsius on Friday. Synoptics have warned that the hot weather could stay over the country for several days.
