Strong winds caused damage on Sunday Zielona Góra considerable damage. A tree fell on a parked car on Fabryczna Street. The wind ripped off tiles from several roofs. A broken tree fell on the roof of kindergarten No. 7 on Moniuszki Street. Five fire brigades are working on site. – We check the facility together with construction supervision. We are taking action to repair damaged structural elements as a priority – said Marcin Pabierowski, president of Zielona Góra. The facility's building was damaged. – Nothing happened to anyone – said Marek Kamiński, vice-president of Zielona Góra. One of the kindergarten groups will have classes on Monday in a different place. – We are in contact with parents to organize activities and care for all children – said Vice President Kamiński. Firefighters remove the effects of the storm. – We have 18 interventions and these are mainly broken trees. However, there will be more interventions because there is still strong wind, said Senior Capt. Piotr Kowalski, spokesman for the fire brigade in Zielona Góra.
